Challenges Faced as a Freelance Content Writer

Content writing is not easy nor does it seem easy. It needs motivation and a lot of perspiration. Writing for somebody else usually makes it even more difficult as there is no direct motivation for it, unless the employer gives some. So before doubting the efforts of a content writer or undermining the efforts take care of the following points.
·         Getting the right client
The major hurdle in freelancing is finding a good client who will pay them as they deserve. The market is full with people who want to suck out the last drop of sweat but when it comes to compensate the writer, they can be quite stingy.
·         Finding the right job
Even though all Ghost writers in Bangalore or elsewhere have flair of writing but that doesn’t mean they can write about just anything. There are some domains where the writer is more comfortable. The difficulty is in finding the right job where you get to write what you like to write about.
·         Balancing life
Unlike other professions freelancing is mostly a part time work. Very few people earn solely from freelancing. It is very common to find students freelancing as content writers. So balancing other things along with freelancing is quite difficult.
·         Lack of idea
No matter how bright you are or how creative your instincts may be, there will come a time when you dry up of ideas to write. Sadly the frequency of idea generation is slower than the frequency of work assignments. A writer may be typing an article of about 500 words, which shouldn’t take much time but it’s the thinking which takes time.
·         Managing the time zones
It is quite common that the client is in some other part of the world where the clock runs faster or slower than yours. Thus, the time lag is a major problem as the working time is different. For example a freelancer from Delhi will have different work hours than his client sitting in, say Australia.
·         Procrastination
A lot of time freelancers accumulate a lot of work on their backs. If thegiven work is not completed on time, it keeps on adding up and after sometime it culminates into a mountain of work load. Under such conditions either the writer is not able to deliver on time or the quality of work dips.
·         Distractions
There are a lot of distractions to a writer especially if he or she is a movie freak or a chain novel reader or just a busy college student. Such situations make it very difficult to deliver the work on time. A freelancer content writer has to maintain a work life balance.

Given all the difficulties faced by a freelance content writer no doubt it is a difficult job that requires you to be consistently productive. Finding your own motivation mechanism is of prime importance. Apart from these finding a right client is also very difficult. What makes this even more difficult is finding work that you enjoy. Hence, it is of prime importance that all these issues are properly addressed and solved.
